SafeGulf/SafeLand Certification
In addition to C&D Production Specialist’s Annual Regulatory and Compliance Training for all employees, we have now included the SafeGulf/SafeLand Certification Course in our curriculum. SafeGulf/SafeLand is a 10-hour comprehensive orientation program developed by major operators working in the Gulf of Mexico. This orientation has become the standard program for the oil and gas industry.
Behavioral Based Safety Process (A.L.E.R.T. ®)
C&D Production Specialist utilizes a progressive Behavior Based Safety Program in all of its operations in conjunction with Host Employer Programs. This process known as A.L.E.R.T.® encompasses general guidelines for reporting safety observations, including Near Misses, Hazard Recognition, and BBS Reports. A.L.E.R.T.® is modeled after C&D Specialist’s Quality Management System. A.L.E.R.T. ® uses processes that are consistent to those of the management system, but are also designed to operate as a BBS Program enhancement tool for existing host employer programs.
Confidential Assistance Reporting for Employees (C.A. R. E.)
C & D Production Specialist cares about the well-being of our employees and others at our job sites. To that end, we have created the C.A.R.E. (Confidential Assistance Reporting for Employee) program. C.A.R.E. offers C & D Production Specialist employees an avenue for reporting actions or feelings that could harm the individual, other workers or our job sites. C.A.R.E. allows an employee to report job related concerns confidentially. C.A.R.E. should help us achieve the following important goals:
- To help C & D Production Specialist employees be more productive.
- To help C & D Production Specialist employees make the job site safe for all employees
- To help C & D Production Specialist employees better serve their customers
- To help C & D Production Specialist employees work safely and return home to their families
The number is a direct, confidential line to the Human Resources Department of C&D Production Specialist and is for the use of C.A.R.E. only.

Field Safety Contact Program
The objective of this program is to further assist C&D Specialist with managing HS&E activities at the various work locations by means of employee mentoring and empowerment in high activity areas. The key personnel group’s, known as Field Safety Contacts, duties include but are not limited to conducting safety meetings, tracking BBSP reports, and managing HS&E related data.
Employee Incentive Program
By actively participating in C&D Specialist’s BBSP and Continuous Improvement Programs, employees are recognized and compensated for their positive performance.
Internal Audit Program
Although the primary focus of the Quality Management System lies within each stage of the process, sponsoring frequent, internal audits ensures that the Quality Management System is in place and is working for the benefit of the company, its employees and its customers. The responsibility of managing the audit process is shared both by the HS&E Department and a specially appointed Audit Team consisting of Top Managers.
Behavioral Job Safety/Hazard Analysis (BJSA/JHA)
A key to eliminating or reducing harm to people, property and the environment is the Behavioral Job Safety/Hazard Analysis. These processes were designed to promote discussion and documentation of each step of a job, identifying the existing or potential HS&E hazards and determining as a team the safest way to perform that task to reduce or eliminate the hazards.
Incident Management Program
Although C&D Specialist believes that all incidents are preventable, there are some instances when quality incident management is required. For that reason, C&D Specialist has established a well-structured Incident Management Program requiring that all occurrences shall be immediately communicated to the HS&E and/or Operations Departments for a complete Investigation.
Restricted Duty Program
C&D Specialist has instituted a Restricted Duty Program that will allow the Incident Management Team to provide temporary, restricted work assignments to any employees injured during the course of work.
Short Service Employee (SSE) Program
The Short Service Employee Program (SSE) has been established to assist, facilitate and monitor new employees with less than six months in industry, job scope or location assignment experience in their Health, Safety and Environmental Performance. This process is documented and closely monitored until the conclusion of a six-month incident free period.
Management Of Change (MOC)
C&D Specialist has implemented a Management of Change Process to ensure that hazards and risks associated with changes in processes, project scope and equipment are identified and managed.
